Heartfelt Thanks!

I received a wonderful package.
Everything came sacked up in an ever so cute bag that will be perfect for my tanning bed supplies that stay in the back of my vehicle.
I have a new favorite apron hanging in the kitchen--notice the crocheted hearts on the pockets (great job).

I can't bear to put the heart shaped potholders(that match my apron) or the crocheted dishrags in the drawer yet. There were sprinkles to eat & tea to drink. A very cool Hatter Button and an iron-on to claim my status as "Queen of Hearts"

I have already used the little gift tags to make 2 sets of Thank You cards. One for me and the other I will be sending to Sherry as my special way of saying "Thank You"

Cake Slice Boxes!

I finally finished my Cake Slice Boxes! This is going to be a anniversary gift for a friend's 50th celebration. I purchased this tutorial from Kay Sha, you can check out her blog here . I wanted to surprise her and make the flowers in her wedding colors, so I contacted her Daughter-In-Law, she did not know but thought maybe her Maid of Honor would. SoI called her, but she did not remember then I called her Daughter well guess what??? she had no idea. I gave up and called the bride, after a brief hesitation :) she said "Pink"

All Done!

My apron is finished. I am waiting on one more tuck-in then I will drop my package in the mail to my secret partner. Her favorite color is purple so I photographed her apron hanging in my Hyacinth Bean Pod Vines. I will be sharing some seed for her to plant in her garden next year. Hope my partner loves her new apron. Here is a peak--What do you think??

New Swap

I signed up to do yet another apron swap. This one is an Alice in Wonderland theme! I have watched the "new" movie and read the book to get my creativity flowing. After searching and searching for the perfect fabric that I think my partner would love--and I finally found it. One of the pieces is named "Mushrooms for Alice". I will post a peek as soon as it arrives--

Delivery Day!

Our Boxer dog Clyde loves to play. The thought of him tearing into my apron package before me was scary.I had to come up with a plan. Look what I made just for my special deliveries.

A Wedding Gift

I made this apron for a young lady who is getting married June 4th. This is her first apron. I wanted a fun fabric and these frogs were perfect. I tucked a tag in the pocket with the meaning of Frog F=Fully, R=Rely, O=On, G=God!

Apron Swap!

This was my 1st of many apron swaps--
This is what I sent....

And this is what I received--Lucky Me!!!!
What is a Gumdrop You ask??
It is a beloved pet, born a dog, transformed to a Gumdrop!

I thought I was getting the upper hand when I brought 2 miniature poodles into our home without discussing it with my husband. He wouldn't even look at them for the longest, yet little by little they worked their way into his heart and now he refuses to call them--shhhhhhh--dogs. He insists they are Gumdrops from Heaven! Now they are old, stinky, have bad teeth, can't always control their bladder (I am talking about the dogs) and my husband just smiles. Isn't it funny how everything always comes back to bite you in the butt!
